Home Information Packs
It is a legal requirement that every residential property for sale or to rent in England and Wales requires a Home Information Pack (or HIP for short). The HIP is designed to speed up the buying and selling process because it includes all the relevant documents that are required allowing buyers to make an informed judgement about the property that they are considering purchasing. Historically this information was only avaialble after a property sale has been agreed, and the buyer was proceeding through the legal process. So having this infomnation at the very start of the buying process should ensure prospective buyers are fully informed and should help to reduce the number of sales that fall through at a late stage in the selling proccess.
